| The 2000 Palazzo della Torre is a proprietary blend of 70% Corvina, 15% Rondinela, 10% Syrah, and 5% Sangiovese aged 17 months in small French foudres. Its bouquet reveals notions of spicy new oak along with chocolate, black currants, cherries, licorice, and tar. Deep, full-bodied, and layered, with a supple texture, it should drink well for 5-7 years. This wine earned 91 points in Wine Spectator's 11-15-04 issue, and was placed #65 on Wine Spectator's Top 100 list of 2004. |
